According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), in August 2018, China produced 183,039 tons of pesticide, down regulated 2.3% compared to the same period last year. China’s pesticide production is still in continuous decline.
On a y-o-y basis, in August, herbicide production increased 10.7% to 81,815 tons, which account for the 44.70% of the total pesticide production. Insecticides drastically went down by 31.5%, recorded 28,536 tons and consisted 15.59% of the total production. After last month’s decline, fungicide production continued to go down by 33.9% to 9,069 tons and accounted for 4.95% of the total production.
